Incentives

Cross County was the first county in Arkansas to pass a sales tax to support our local economic development efforts. We have the flexibility to offer incentives on a case-by-case basis to qualifying new businesses and existing companies.

Factors that the Cross County Economic Development Corporation considers in its decision process includes: (1) the type of company that is looking to invest in Cross County; (2) the number of new jobs to be created; (3) the amount of private capital investment the company will make; and (4) the wages and benefits the prospective employer will offer to the people of our area.

Local incentive packages can be tailored for your company's needs. Examples of assistance could include site acquisition assistance, increased infrastructure capacities or assistance with workforce development and training programs. The bottom line is that we want to work with your company to ensure a smooth and profitable expansion or new location into Cross County.

A variety of state incentives might be available to your company. The incentives offered by the Arkansas Economic Development Commission can be found here (http://www.arkansasedc.com/locations/incentives/).

Please contact our staff if you have any additional questions about various forms of assistance that might be available to your company.
